Orlando has one piece of art, made by himself, exposed at the new exhibition "Because You're Worthless", by David Miles.
The exhibition is at the Coningsby Gallery in London, and according to the website of the gallery:
David Miles’ artworks speak for themselves. However, convention calls for some introduction - especially because no one has seen, read or heard of David’s work recently in any of the usual arts media, and certainly not in proximity with advertising, sponsorship or in the ‘underground’ or ‘overground’ art world. David has therefore enjoyed the kind of independence that aids focus and research; an independence that yields results that are exciting, dramatic, funny and full of ‘light’.
In spite of David’s long sabbatical from exhibiting his work, he is no stranger to the limelight. He has close friendships and artistic liaisons with Orlando Bloom and Tom Sachs. A portrait fashioned in wire of David made by Orlando will be included in the show. The portrait is mounted on a pedestal and placed in a case made from VHS cassettes and jewel cases.
The exhibition will last from 6th until 18th September. |
